Aromatherapy For Every Season - Summer Scents

Aromatherapy is a word that is often thrown around on girls’ nights or while on a getaway at the spa. Aromatherapy seems nice, but often it comes as an afterthought when paired with a Swedish Massage or a hydra-facial. Ironically, this very simple form of self-care is age-old and incredibly powerful!

Our sense of smell is powerful and can extend itself beyond the physical body. Aside from alerting us if the milk has gone bad or if the trash needs to be taken out, our sense of smell can bring calm to emotions and anxiety, invoke fond memories, and have even been reported to heal in some cases.

Aromatherapy can be so powerful in so many ways and amazingly can be enjoyed in many different forms- essential oils, diffusers, and even...(soon to launch) Nurache candles!

As the seasons change, we all have certain scents that signal that a new season is coming or may already be here. For some, the faint scent of spicy cinnamon signals that Christmas is just around the corner— while others have now associated the fall with the very controversial Pumpkin Spice scent that now dominates the market. With heat waves confirming that summer is indeed here, we’ve come up with a list of summer scents that are amazing go to’s for aromatherapy as you live your absolute best and most blessed life this summer! Hint: some of these scents can be found in our products- sign up below to be added to our newsletter so you don’t miss out!

Candles: Decor that feeds the senses. (7/8)

Originally used as a light source, candles have been around for centuries and have grown to have many uses and purposes over the years. As time has gone on, thanks to electricity, candles have drastically evolved from being a necessary and sometimes life saving light source to being commodities in our life that can be used for prayer, aromatherapy and decoration that feeds the senses and brings glimmers of our personalities into our homes.

Candles can be beautiful by both sight and by scent and both senses can play into amazing decor elements to make your home feel blessed, luxurious and inviting to family and friends. Below are a few easy ideas to incorporate candles into your home to appease the sense of sight, smell and even added benefits of aromatherapy.

  • Candle Warmers Candles are serene spectacles to be seen when they are lit by their wick, but with technology constantly advancing, you can now enjoy your candles without even lighting them. Candle warmers are amazing alternatives to have in your home if you have little ones running around or if you might occasionally forget to blow out your candle’s flame. Not only functional, candle warmers can be beautiful with their own gilded elements that will elevate your beautiful candle as an accent or nod to your decor. • Candle Boards Candle boards are a new trend on Pinterest that are a nod to charcuterie boards that have become a staple at every [socially distanced] event. Instead of beautifully arranged meats and cheeses, and snacks, these boards feature gorgeous candles of varying heights surrounded by aromatic flowers, stones and scent cones. They’re great centerpieces that can be customized for any event or holiday. Check out an example here.

  • Fireplace If you have a fireplace that is not functional or that you want to redesign or change, candles are an amazing option! Fill in with your favorite scents and colors of candles of varying heights for a gorgeous and romantic effect that can completely transform the look of your living room with minimal effort and low cost.
