Hello, My Love...

Hello, my love,

I hope you read this with great joy. Mommy loves you very much and I think all the time about what things I’d like to teach you.

Out of that abundant thought, I realized that I have the duty of modeling what it is to be a woman.

There are a few things I wish I would have understood growing up.

The first is that it’s great to be seen but it’s better to be known.

To be respected to be understood shows someone cares for you.

To be truly heard is to have great treasure.

This world is going to try to teach you that the attention that comes with being seen is valuable.

I want you to remember what I’ve said when you’re faced with that reality.

I pray that you would know deep down that you’re unique and you don’t need to fit in with others.

Your uniqueness is a beautiful crown and is what makes you - you.

I hope you discover God in nature and in your everyday life. Not just when you’re told to see Him, but in a personal way with your Creator.

I pray you understand at an early age that mistakes only make you stronger.

God can use those experiences for greater purposes.

Don’t ever carry shame for when you fall short. Learn the lesson and move on.

Whatever you choose to do with your life, do it well and give it your all.

I pray that you would never make a life decision based on another person’s opinion of you.

Trust in the values you believe in.

I hope you honor those who have come before you in life... I’m talking about those who have the fruit to show that they understand what it means to live fruitfully.

I have much more to teach you and as I’m learning I will share.

I pray you’ll be patient with me because parenting is new to me... just as it’s new to you to have me as your mom.

Love,
Your Mama
