Our Mid-Century Modern Remodel
During quarantine, my husband and I finally finished our first home remodel project. I was feeling unsure because of the state of the world (this was when the world went crazy and everything popped off in March). But despite the apprehension, we decided to bite the bullet and push through because what else would we do with our time?
We have experienced challenges in the past with contractors and have heard a few dozen horror narratives. Thankfully, we got a trustworthy referral, Eden Builders out of Los Angeles.
The owner, Roy Litman, is kind and incredibly proficient at the whole remodeling process. He made our experience easy and painless as we were finalizing materials to use. Though there weren't a large number of showrooms open due to COVID, we found some beautiful fixtures and material online as well as in the few showrooms that were open in the Valley area.
Our home is Mid Century modern, built in the 1950s, so we went to great lengths to accentuate the theme - I'm talking gutting the entire bathroom, tearing down walls, and starting from the studs. Our style is modern and minimalistic, so for this project, we chose to go for a fresh but luxurious feel to the bathroom.
I've loved keeping you guys updated on the progress on Instagram, and Iām proud of how the finished product turned out! Check out the photos:
