Postpartum Hair Loss Is...
Totally and completely normal!
I had it with my son and I’m now I’m experiencing it with my daughter.
When you’re pregnant, your hormones not only cause your body to produce more hair but your hair will also theoretically “freeze” in place. This can create an illusion that you have fuller hair. Once your baby is about 3 to 4 months old, you’ll notice your hair seems thinner.
This happens to everyone, mama, but here are some things to help you through this stage:
x Make sure you are eating healthy foods
Getting the right amount of vitamins in your diet will help your hair stay healthy and balance your hormones faster.
x Take an iron supplement
I’m no expert, so be sure to ask your doctor before taking any supplement I suggest….
Low iron can contribute to hair loss! I like to take a vitamin c supplement alongside my iron. This helps your iron properly digest into your system.
x Don’t stress yourself!
Stressing yourself out will raise your cortisol levels! Your hair will grow back in due time.
