New Face for a New Season

Last time I started a blog, I started it for therapeutic reasons. Coming out of what some jokingly call the "fourth trimester" of pregnancy, I needed to remind myself of who I was at my core. I needed to remember why I prefer Mac's Ruby Red lipstick and Pinot Noir with my dinner. A girl needed to put on some red bottoms and get out on the town with her man.

As every newborn mother does, I spent months hearing baby cries, washing bottles, and scheduling baby's much-needed tummy time. That time was such a loving experience with the baby, and I wouldn’t change a single detail. I loved breastfeeding him and seeing him change every day.

Despite my love for this season, I quickly realized how becoming a mother at such a young age was more challenging than I could have ever imagined. I wasn't prepared for how it would affect my emotions, hormones, and self-esteem. I battled postpartum depression in a significant way and didn't know who Kennedy was going to look like now that she was a mother. I don't think I would be alone in expressing how personal goals I had, let alone a full-blown career, felt as if it wouldn’t now fit into the puzzle. My mind and heart were processing so much, and from that place, my blog "Joy Of Roses" was born.

As the blog became more significant than a hobby, I found a great passion for writing and sharing with you. Now that I have several years of marriage and motherhood under my belt, I feel like a transformed woman from the woman I was when I began writing in 2017. With so many stories, ideas, and some conventional wisdom I’ve picked up along the way, my intention moving forward is to go a new direction - something sleeker, cleaner, more purposeful and truer to how I've been building every aspect of my life. My desire is for this new blog to mirror the fresher voice I have gained with the growth I've experienced.

For all you skincare lovers, I'm going to continue to share skincare tips and tricks (don't worry). In this new blog, I will also be sharing more things about motherhood, family, travel, and beauty. I may even throw in an occasional personal thought to digest.

Thank you for taking the journey with me thus far, and I'm excited about this new chapter! Welcome to NURACHE.
